Training & Placement
Helping every trainee move from the workshop to a workplace.
What the Placement Cell does
The Training & Placement Cell arranges campus interviews, apprenticeship placements under the NAPS scheme and guidance for self-employment.
Campus recruitment
Employers are invited to conduct selection at the institute. Final-year trainees of all trades may register free of charge.
Apprenticeship (NAPS)
Assistance with registration on the national apprenticeship portal, where trainees earn a stipend and gain recognised experience.
Career guidance
Help with bio-data, interview preparation and choosing between employment, apprenticeship and further training.
Self-employment
Guidance on government schemes that support trainees who want to start their own workshop or service business.
For employers
If you are recruiting skilled workers in the Canning area or anywhere in South 24 Parganas, the institute would be glad to hear from you. We can arrange a campus drive, share candidate details for the trades you need, or take on apprentices under NAPS.
Write to canning1govtiti@gmail.com with the trades and number of positions, and the Placement Officer will get in touch.
For trainees
- Register with the Placement Cell at the start of your final year.
- Keep an updated bio-data and a copy of your latest marksheet with the office.
- Watch the notices page and the notice board for drive announcements.
- Register on apprenticeshipindia.gov.in for apprenticeship opportunities, and on Skill India Digital.
