About the Institute

Training craftsmen for the workshops, sites and service centres of Bengal

Government Industrial Training Institute, Canning-I was established in 2016 at Tangrakhali in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. Operating under the Public Private Partnership (PTP) model and affiliated to the National Council for Vocational Training, the institute delivers craftsman training that is recognised nationwide and designed around what employers actually need.

Ready to learn a trade?

Applications for all NCVT trades are made online through the West Bengal State Council of Vocational Training. If you need help with the form, come to the institute on a working day — the help desk is free.
