Government ITI Canning I running under PTP is situated at Tangrakhali, Canning, Near Bankim Sardar College. The Institute is approximately 7 Km away from the district town Canning Town of South 24 Parganas District. The Institute was established on 2016 with an aim to impart professional skill in training to the district youth. Presently the Institute is running with 323 students in Electrician, Fitter, Draughtsman Mechanical, Welder, Plumber, Surveyor, Diesel Mechanic and Computer Operator and Programming Assistant trade and Broad Based Basic Training Course. There are three Vocational courses running at this Institute containing more than 300 students. Studying at I.T.I Canning-I is a wonderful experience under the guidance of highly dedicated and qualified faculties. Students can participate in different Extra-curricular activities like Debate, Extempore, quiz, puzzle solving etc. on different occasion, i.e. teachers day, national education day, Independence Day, National youth day etc. The institute has highly sophisticated Computer Workshop, Electrician Workshop, Fitter Workshop, Welder Workshop, Plumber Workshop, Surveyor Workshop, Diesel Mechanic workshop where the students can spend several hours to update themselves with modern industry requirement.
Government ITI Canning I running under PTP, is set up in the year 2016 with eight Trades. It’s a post-secondary school in India constituted under Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGET), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Admission to the various trades is done every year in August. The admission procedure is started before the commencement of the new session. Sessions under this scheme starts from the 1st August. Under the NCVT guidelines admission in ITIs is made on merit based / written examination.
